8. Peepo’s – Taylor

Peepo’s is a tale of the American Dream. Created in 2011 by the children of Lebanese immigrants, Peepo’s has grown to two locations, each known for genuine love for their work and the customers who frequent them. Peepo’s Taylor location is open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed on Sundays.

Peepo’s menu is a joint effort between the owners’ Lebanese roots and their newfound American heritage. Several Lebanese classics such as shawarma and falafel accompany deli subs, smoothies, and Peepo’s proprietary meal – the Afrikano. This consists of chicken, steak, shrimp, falafel, or bacon in a bowl, sub, on fries, or in a salad.

9. Taylor Kabob

Taylor Kabob is another Lebanese restaurant that focuses more on their heritage’s traditional meals. Where Peepo’s embraces their new home wholeheartedly, Taylor Kabob stays true to tradition. Taylor Kabob is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and is closed on Sunday.

And for game day, you can find wings, fries, spaghetti and meatballs, and even a classic Chicago-style pizza for those seeking a bit of adventure.
